Until 11 November 2022, the residents of Kherson were afraid to leave their homes. First, shops were looted, then a food crisis began. To save themselvesfrom starvation, Kherson residents were later forced to accept humanitarian aid brought in from Russia. Kherson's residents in a social media express gratitude the soldiers for the liberation and hope that he city will finally find peace.

"On the day of Kherson's liberation from Russia, I always have mixed feelings. First,I feel unconditional gratitude to those who drove the Russians out of the city,- writes Viktoria Pushina. This is beyond human effort. Secondly, I feel sorry for those who died during the defence andliberation of the city; for those civilians who did not live to see this day. I feel sad for those prisoners who may not even know that there are no more Russians in Kherson. But the reality of war is that even though they are not physically there,t echnically they are everywhere. Tons of missiles, drones and aerial bombs are raining down on Kherson24/7. The siren has not yet stopped when the shell has already exploded on the roofs of houses and onpeople's heads. Or it flies into apartments, as it did into ours — I don't even remember what year it was"

"Today is the third anniversary of the liberation of Kherson from the occupiers. It was a very happy day for everyone. I cried with joy almost the whole day," - said Natalka Tantsyura. Now I crying from the daily news about the murdered Kherson residents on the streets of the city, about the destroyed buildings and historical monuments. But Kherson and the kherson residents are holding on with all their might and believe in victory. We must never give up, because the price of our mornings, days and evenings is too high.

The two wonderful young soldiers in these photos were died defending us all. Dmytro Pashchuk (Garmash) died liberating his native Kherson region, Pasha Petrichenko - later defending Donetsk region. Honor, respect and boundless gratitude to all our defende!", - Natalia remembers.
